These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Peakio mobile application and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Peakio helps people discover and join local activities — sports, social and cultural — hosted by other members of the community. Activities on Peakio are free to join. Peakio is a platform: activities are organised and led by their hosts, not by Peakio.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Peakio.
- Provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You may delete your account at any time in the app or by contacting support.
3. Community rules
- Show up when you RSVP, or cancel in good time so someone else can take the spot.
- Treat other members with respect. Harassment, hate speech, and threatening behaviour are prohibited.
- Do not post unlawful, misleading or infringing content in activities, groups or chats.
- Do not use the Service for commercial solicitation without our written consent.
We may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
4. Participation is at your own risk
Physical activities carry inherent risks. You are responsible for assessing your own fitness and the suitability of an activity before joining. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peakio is not liable for injuries, losses or disputes arising from activities organised through the Service. Check with a medical professional before undertaking strenuous exercise.
5. Content
You retain ownership of content you post. You grant Peakio a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host and display that content as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for having the rights to what you post.
6. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to €50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Changes and termination
We may update the Service and these Terms; material changes will be notified in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
